What is WorldMark?
WorldMark, the Club is a California Not-for-Profit Mutual Benefit Corporation. The specific purpose of WorldMark is to own, care for, operate and manage vacation properties. In short, WorldMark is a great big Homeowners' Association.
The individuals that we call "owners" are actually members of the Club. Rights and responsibilities of membership in the Club are tied to ownership of Vacation Credits. Vacation Credits are, in essence, the "stock" in the WorldMark corporation. So we, the members, own WorldMark, and WorldMark owns our resorts.
WorldMark has no employees. All functions of the Club are handled by our Manager, Wyndham Resort Development Corporation (also called WorldMark by Wyndham). These functions are overseen by the WorldMark Board of Directors, a five-member Board elected by the owners and charged with ensuring that the Club is administered in accordance with its Governing Documents and in the best interest of the Club and its members.
