Community Involvement:

Wasatch Peak Academy, North Salt Lake, Utah; a K-6 Charter School that opened in 2005.  Though publicly funded, charter schools have much greater autonomy to set their own policies, goals, and emphases in order to better meet the needs of their specific target students.

- Parent organization: Executive Board, Treasurer; three years.  The Executive Board of the parent organization for a charter school works directly with the school’s administration and Board of Directors to establish policies and procedures, set curriculum, hire and evaluate staff, and define and maintain the culture of the school in support of the school’s Charter.

Church involvement.

- Top leadership positions for the local children’s organization within my church group, varying from 75 to 175 children, for a period of approximately 15 years from 1992 through 2006.

Family Life:

Married 18 years; mother of four.

Resident of Bountiful, Utah since 1995.
